This was Trivia 2025!

Last Saturday, the Townsville Senior Citizens Centre was buzzing with energy as 111 players across 15 teams battled it out at NQCC’s Trivia Night 2025. It was our biggest trivia night to date — and what a night it was!

Teams competed fiercely for the glory of having their name engraved on our Trivia Champions plaque… but as always, only one could take home the title. The race stayed tight right to the end, with plenty of friendly rivalry, questionable alliances, and just the right amount of good-natured corruption to keep things interesting.

The atmosphere was electric: laughter around every table, enthusiastic debates over answers, and constant cheers thanks to our wonderfully engaged participants and our incredible volunteers who kept the night running smoothly.

Our Quizmaster David (left) had lots to do - checking everyone's answer sheets. Our bribe takers (Amaya on the right) were very popular too.

A Community Effort That Paid Off

Thanks to everyone who attended, bought raffle tickets, donated prizes, volunteered, or supported us in any way, we raised over $5,000 (before expenses) to power NQCC’s environmental advocacy across beautiful North Queensland.

We’re also thrilled to welcome 4 new members to the NQCC community, and 34 new subscribers who’ve signed up to stay connected with our work.

The team "How much are the beers this year" took the win, but it was very close!

"The Green team" finished last but were happy about their prize.

Thank You to Our Volunteers

Events like this don’t come together without a dedicated team. Huge thanks to:
