What do you love about living in North Queensland? 
The reef, the hills, the rivers, the wildlife - the places that make this region home.
This April, we’re inviting you to celebrate those places in a fun, simple and meaningful way. 

Love Where You Live is a month-long community fundraiser hosted by the North Queensland Conservation Council (NQCC). From March 28 (Starting with Earth Hour) - April 30, locals will take actions for nature and invite friends and family to sponsor their efforts. 

Play Our Nature Bingo 

At the heart of the fundraiser is a Nature Bingo card filled with simple, achievable actions. You might: 

• Spend 20 minutes in nature to reconnect 

• Join a clean-up 

• Switch one household item to a reusable 

• Join a planting or weeding activity 

• Attend a citizen science action 

• Learn about wildlife care 

Every action counts. You can complete them in any order, at your own pace, throughout April. We have great action suggestions for you, but you can also create your own. 

Do 10 actions to complete your bingo card and you’ll receive a small gift to celebrate your efforts.  

Fundraise for Impact 

Participants set up a personal fundraising page and invite their community to sponsor their month of action. Whether you aim to raise $250 or $750, every dollar helps. 

Participants who raise the most funds will win a special prize. Our top fundraisers can choose from prizes including a Coffee Presto prize pack with an NQCC engraved Fressko keep cup (valued at $150) and Bunnings Warehouse gift cards. 

While you’re out exploring, planting, cleaning and learning, NQCC is working at scale - advocating for stronger environmental protections, speaking up for wildlife and the reef.

This is about pride in where we live - and coming together to protect it.
