Volunteer Welcome Night: Growing Community, Action, and Connection
Last week at our Volunteer Welcome Night, we explored the many ways our community can make a difference for the environment - from hands-on action like plantings and events, to using your voice to advocate for change. It was a wonderful chance to connect with people who care about protecting North Queensland and to reflect on how NQCC supports these efforts while building strong community connections.
Our mission remains fostering flourishing communities that live in balance with a healthy environment. Through advocacy, community action, First Nations partnerships, and maintaining a strong organisation, we create opportunities for meaningful impact.
Current volunteer options are varied β from joining our Climate Action Group to help councils adopt greening strategies, to supporting screenings, plantings, or fundraising initiatives. Every bit counts, and having fun along the way is just as important for sustaining action.
Check out all the ways you can get involved here and be part of a community making a real difference.
We also launched ourΒ Love Where You Live months of action in April and we are collecting donations for our Garage Sale in May! What might you be able to help with?
