All NQCC members are warmly invited to join our Annual General Meeting for 2026!

We'll gather in our backyard and share some drinks and woodfired pizza while we cover off on our important business, present our achievements for the year and share our plans for the year ahead.

A full agenda and meeting documents will be sent to members ahead of the meeting date. For now, please block out the evening in your diary, and notify us of any dietary requirements so that we can cater appropriately. 

This is a family-friendly event, and leashed pets are also welcome.

Last night's General Meeting brought together long-time members, people considering joining NQCC, volunteers, interns, and friends of the organisation for an evening of conversation, fresh wood-fired pizza, and a look at what's ahead.

It was also a little bittersweet. After more than two years with NQCC, our Community Campaigner, Luna, was farewelled at the meeting.

This week, we gathered with our community for a very special Members’ Event - a night filled with meaningful conversations, campaign reflections, exciting announcements, and plenty of good food and laughter. At NQCC, we know that our strength lies in connection, and this evening was a beautiful reminder of that.

On Wednesday 29 September we held our backyard AGM, which was a great opportunity to catch up with our members and share some updates about our organisation and our work. We also tabled our Annual Report and elected a new Management Committee. 

On Sunday 14^th of August, NQCC hosted a fundraising dinner to celebrate our community of past committee members, donors, volunteers and staff. Additionally, former NQCC Coordinator Susan Brown was visiting Townsville after spending the past 11 years in Geneva working for WWF. We thought a dinner at the NQCC HQ would be a good opportunity for our community to gather.
