Volunteers are the heart of NQCC.
We thrive on the energy, skills, and commitment of people who want to protect North Queensland’s environment through advocacy, planning, and community organising.
We offer a range of volunteering opportunities - from time-flexible involvement to longer-term strategic roles - depending on what you’re looking for and how you’d like to contribute.

You might like to get involved if you are:
-
Passionate about campaigns
Take action on Climate, Waterways, Nature or Renewables by supporting research, planning, outreach, and advocacy that creates real change in your community. -
Interested in organising events
Build your management and communication skills by helping plan and run community forums, screenings, workshops, and member events. -
Curious about how nonprofits work
Gain hands-on experience in Governance, Fundraising, HR, Partnerships, and strategic coordination within a grassroots environmental organisation. -
Looking to build practical admin skills
Learn the basics of customer relationship management (CRM), data handling, and coordination systems that support effective advocacy. - We also offer occasional hands-on activities such as community events or environmental actions, for those who enjoy practical engagement alongside strategic work.

After you sign up, we’ll be in touch by email or phone to get to know you better and talk through current opportunities. This may not happen immediately, and we appreciate your patience.
You’re also very welcome to contact us directly if you’d like to learn more or have a specific idea about how you’d like to contribute.
