World Environment Day Members' Survey

To mark World Environment Day for 2020, we've opened up this survey to hear from the most important people in our organisation - our members! 

We want to know what it is that you value, what your main concerns are and what your vision for the future looks like.

This is a short and simple survey and your responses can be as brief or detailed as you wish them to be. 

On the evening of World Environment Day (Friday 5 June) we also hosted an online workshop to discuss these key areas. To read a summary of points raised at the workshop and by other survey respondents, visit our blog.

    Q: Do we (NQCC) have your permission to use quotes from your responses in our marketing materials, alongside your name?
    A: Yes

    A: NQCC is the prime local voice for the environment. A much broader base is needed to increase effectiveness.

    Q: What would you like the future to look like for NQCC and North Queensland as a whole?
    A: Far more appreciation of nature by the community and especially community leaders leading to a changed way of living that cares for the environment

    A: Climate change, underlying which is human individualism, Ï am entitled do act for me without regard to the effect on others.

We acknowledge the Wulgurukaba, Bindal, Gugu Badhun, Nyawigi, Gudjal, Kalkadoon, Mitakoodi, Warrungu, Yirendali, Juru, Birriah, Ewamian, Tagalaka, Indjalandji-Dhidhanu and Waanyi Peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the North Queensland region. We pay our respects to their elders, past and present, and recognise their ongoing legacy as North Queensland's first conservationists. Sovereignty was never ceded, and this always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
