You may be wondering why you're reading your September Paperbark in October. The answer is quite simple - with so much happening in the lead-up to our AGM, we thought we'd hold out until the Official Business was over before sending you our monthly update. Apologies for the suspense!

    Trivia 2020

Following the State Election and all of the tension/anticipation/energy that goes along with it, we will certainly need an excuse to let our hair down and have some fun! Join us for our Annual Fundraising Trivia Night and help us to raise some funds for North Queensland's environment!

It's always a great night and one that we await with much anticipation each year! Of course, this year is going to look a little different. Our venue can allow for only 50 people, including volunteers and children. As such, we ask that teams purchase their tickets in advance, as we will likely not be selling tickets at the door.

This year you will compete in teams of six. Bonus points will be awarded to the first, second and third teams registered and paid for, so get your team together quickly!

The bar will be open, with EFTPOS available. Please bring cash bribes if you want to play dirty!

A nutritious vegan dinner will be provided, but please BYO snacks (as unfortunately share platters are currently outlawed). No BYO alcohol.

Please contact us with any allergies or nutritional requirements.

    COVID-19 Information

If you are feeling unwell on the night of the event, we ask that you stay home. In this instance, please let us know and your ticket will be refunded in full.

We ask that you practice good hand hygiene and social distancing. Your health is our priority but your responsibility. Thanks for your co-operation!

    Green Drinks Nov 2020

    November Green Drinks

Please join us for the last Green Drinks of the year! Why not take this opportunity to chill out with great people before the festive season kicks off?

Townsville's Green Drinks is an informal, monthly social event for people who care about conservation, sustainability and all things environmental! It is an opportunity for networking, creativity and thought-sharing on environmental issues and solutions. Green Drinks are agenda-free, non-politically aligned and everyone is welcome!

Join us anytime from 6pm onwards on Friday the 20th of November at The Commonwealth Hotel in South Townsville. You can learn all about the venue on their Facebook page

Whether you're new to the environmental movement, new to town, or simply looking for opportunities to meet new people, this is a great event to come together with like-minded Townsville locals.

To keep in touch throughout the month, we recommend you join our Facebook group, where we can share ideas, projects, events and everything in between.

Green Drinks is usually held on the second Friday of the month, but this month we have shifted the event to a week later to avoid a date clash with NQCC's Annual Trivia Night!

We hope that you can make it along to both!
