Here is our next installment of stories from our NQCC 50 anniversary project.
Charlie McColl and Andy Frost are two long-time activists who live on Magnetic Island. Charlie's first story covers his involvement in the Group Action to Stop Pollution (GASP) group at JCU in the early 70s and the Flock to Florence community event in the 1980s.
His second story tells of the efforts of community activists to halt the Nelly Bay Harbour development in the 70s and 80s.
Andy Frost's story is about the discovery of a large number of Aboriginal stone tools on the Nelly Bay reef flat.
Thank you to all the storytellers!
