What do you love about living in North Queensland?
The reef, the hills, the rivers, the wildlife - the places that make this region home.
This April, we’re celebrating those places through Love Where You Live, a month-long community fundraiser hosted by the North Queensland Conservation Council (NQCC).
From March 28 (starting with Earth Hour) to April 30, locals have been taking action for nature — and 15 dedicated fundraisers are already out there making a difference.
Now, we’re inviting you to support them.
As part of Love Where You Live, we challenged our fundraisers to take 10 actions for nature throughout April — using our Nature Bingo card as inspiration.
From frog rescues and tree planting to rubbish removal, wildlife care, and reconnecting with nature, they’ve been turning small actions into real impact across North Queensland.
Each action is a way to give back to the places we love — and to inspire others to do the same.
Fundraising for Impact
Alongside their actions, our fundraisers are raising money to support NQCC’s work. We are proud to be independent and not working for profit. This means every donation counts to keep vital advocacy going.
There’s a little friendly competition for the fundraisers too. There are prizes up for grabs including:
- A Coffee Presto prize pack with an NQCC engraved Fressko keep cup (valued at $150)
- Bunnings Warehouse gift cards
