On Saturday 9th October we saw the end to our four week Postcard Art Exhibition and the beginning of an exciting Fundraising Auction Night!

Art and environment lovers attended the event at Umbrella Studio of Contemporary Art (Townsville City), where each of the 125 artworks generously donated by artists from around the country were auctioned off for prices ranging from $10 to $160. The pieces were approximately postcard-size and created with our "Nature: the wonder and the tragedy" exhibition title in mind. Artworks are still available to peruse in our online gallery here.

Great times were had, bidding wars were won and over $4,500 in funds were raised - all for environmental conservation here in North Queensland!

We have been overwhelmed with the generosity of the artists who contributed their works, the attendees and proxy's who bid on and purchased artworks and our amazing volunteers who gave their time on the night. You make this event a success! Thank you so much to all of you! Special thanks goes to Umbrella Studio for providing the venue and exhibition space and an extra big thank you to Umbrella Manager Daniel Qualischefski for all of his help and support.
