Wetlands are crucial, unique ecosystems, providing a range of ecosystem services throughout Australia and the world. Here in North Queensland's dry tropics, we are lucky enough to have several wetlands within reach. Regardless of how you interact with wetlands, there's a good chance you don't know as much as you could about them and what they do for the natural world around us!
NQCC invites you to join us on World Wetlands Day (Tuesday 2 Feb) to hear from locals with hands-on experience managing North Queensland wetlands to ensure they are flourishing in generations to come.
Whether you enjoy wetlands for beautiful birds, bushwalks or biodiversity, or whether you haven't had much to do with them at all (yet), we'd love you to join us in celebrating their importance this World Wetlands Day.
The first presentation will kick off at 10.30am, but feel free to join us anytime from 10am to enjoy some light refreshments and meet some new people!
