AGM 2019

Once a year, we invite all of our members to join us for our Annual General Meeting. While there is business to be attended to throughout the evening, we also use the event as an opportunity to unwind and catch up with our members (because you are our favourite people, after all!).

Join us from 6pm for drinks and nibbles (vegetarian and vegan options available). The business side of the evening will commence a little later with presentations from our staff and interns, with the meeting itself commencing directly afterwards. The Agenda will be emailed out two weeks before the event.

We will also have some merchandise available to purchase for fundraising, including Who Gives A Crap toilet rolls, Boomerang Bags, #StopAdani stubby coolers and a range of colourful, quirky handmade badges, so don't forget to bring along some cash! If you would like to pre-order a box of toilet rolls (48 rolls for $50), email [email protected] so that we can put one aside for you, because they may sell fast!

What if I'm not a member?

While only our financial members are given a vote at our AGM, this event is also a great opportunity to learn about who we are and what we do, so if you're not a member but want to learn more about us, you are most welcome to attend - we might even convince you to sign up before the evening is through! Don't forget - you can also sign up or renew your membership easily online here

Where is the venue?

Just like previous years, our AGM will be held in our spacious backyard at 114 Boundary St, Railway Estate. Street parking is available but fairly limited, so we encourage car-pooling (or riding) where possible - it's also better for the environment, as we all know. This is an open-air venue, with a chance to see the stars. Insect repellent will be available if required, and temporary shelters will be erected should the wet season give us a sneak preview.

How do I nominate to join the Management Committee?

At our AGM, our current Management Committee members shall all retire, but are eligible for re-election, along with new nominations. If you would like to nominate for a position on the Committee, you are required to complete this form, signed by yourself and two other financial members of NQCC. Before nominating, please read our role descriptions, which can be found here. If you have any questions about nominating, or would like more information about what is involved in being on our Committee, we'd be happy to answer your questions! Simply email [email protected] or call us on (07) 4700 4978.

What if I want to vote but can't attend?

You can set up a proxy here! Simply return the form via email to [email protected] no later than Friday 13th September

Please RSVP below to assist us with catering, and alert us to any special dietary requirements in advance.
