In March 2019, NQCC hosted a presentation of the Australia Institute's HeatWatch report for Townsville. The event included talks from Mark Ogge (Australia Institute's Principal Advisor), Dr Scott Heron (a coral reef expert working with JCU) and Des Bolton (a Burdekin farmer).
